VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for theon going SHOUHARDOIII DRR Activity, in partnership with CARE Bangladesh and funding support of USAID. The goal of the activity is to “Foster locally led, gender inclusive and policy informed community resilience in Bangladesh, with particular focus on the most vulnerable and flood-prone areas of Bangladesh ". DAM is implementing the SHOUHARDO III DRR Activity in Sunamganj (Taherpur &DowarabazarUpazillas) and Netrokona (Madan & Khaliajhuri Upazillas) district supported by CARE Bangladeshfrom November 2023.
Sr. Monitoring & Documentation Officer (SHOUHARDO III DRR Activity)
Position- 01
Employment Status: Contractual Initial contract up to August 2025
Bench mark for the position (key qualifications and core competencies)
- Bachelor/Masters in Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Geography, Environmental Science, Disaster Management or equivalent degree with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience in any National/International NGO;
- Preference will be given to the candidates having prior working experience in a MEL position in DRR and Climate Justice, Agriculture & Livelihoods.
- Good understanding on ICT and web based online automated information management system including ability to manage M&E/MIS database, including template design, data entry, cleaning, logical checks of monitoring data using MS-Excel, MS-Access, in addition working knowledge on SPSS will be an added advantage.
- Good Knowledge on Gender, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse(PSEA) and Safeguarding Policy
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible to design MEL plan, tools/methodology and indicator tracking mechanism
- Responsible for leading monitoring and documentation related activities of the program; provide technical assistance to the project team; collect monitoring data and process the data, coordination & collaboration with line stakeholders, process documentation.
- Ensure incorporation of environmental and climate issues are incorporated in the monitoring tools and prepare the tools in a way to track and monitor the project through the lens of nature-based solutions (NBS), locally led adaptation (LLA), environmental mitigation and management plan (EMMP) and Climate Adaptation Action Plan (CAAP), as per the donor and GoB rules and policies.
- Implement integrated automated information management system
- Set up an efficient Complaints Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM), Collect feedback and complaint forms from field and enter Feedback and Complaint Database (weekly).
- Facilitating periodic data collection and reporting.
- Derive lessons learned and best practices and contribute to quarterly / annually program reporting
- Capacity building of the Programme Staff and Community Supervisors on MEL system.
- Ability to work in a team with good interpersonal skills.
- Sr. Monitoring and Documentation Officer will report to PM
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/ management.
Job Location: Netrokona District .
Salary: BDT-50,000
