Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for the following positions for immediate appointment in the ongoing SHOUHARDO III Project, in partnership with  CARE Bangladesh and funding support of USAID. The goal of the project is to “Improve gender equitable food security, nutrition and resilience of vulnerable people within Bangladesh for 549,000 poor and extremely poor people by September 2021”. DAM is implementing the SHOUHARDO III program in   Sunamganj ( Taherpur & Dowarabazar Upazillas) and Hobiganj ( Baniachong & Ajmirigonj Upazillas) districts supported by CARE Bangladesh.

Field Trainer- Social Development (FT-SD)

Job Description / Responsibility:
The Field Trainer-SD will be providing quality support to the community group to continue and improve gender-friendly socio-economic practices to enhance lives and livelihoods. S/he will also be responsible to maintain a functional relationship with the concerned LEBs, NBDs, NGOs, and private sector actors, Local service providers, and connect community groups with the service provisioning system to make sure sustainable services for PEPs, particularly for women, girls, and children.
In this aspect, FT-SD will attend relevant meetings and workshops at the Union level to exchange ideas and showcase best practices to the relevant stakeholders. FT-SD is responsible for integrating gender as a critical aspect in program implementation. S/he will be monitoring the progress of different result areas to fix remedial measures for the area the community lack.  FT-SD will be assigned to many villages in a union and will engage directly with the group leaders, VDC, LSPs, DRR leader, and UPs and at the same time may need to deal with the community as directed by the TO-SD. The responsibilities will evolve as the S3X program grow in order to make the program outcomes and impact sustainable but generally include the following responsibilities

Other Ad-hoc Activities:

• Upholding organizational values, program strategy and ensuring programming and organizational principles
• Interacts with the village level community groups, Group leader and LSPs to offer capacity building and support in areas identified as needing support
• Planning for implementing approved DIP of activities at the union and upazila level
• Implementation of agreed activities in assigned area
• Maintain effective linkage for implementing resilience interventions and sustainability

Reporting: Reporting: Technical Officer-Social Development

Working Condition: Based at the Union Level s/he will be travelling to selected village and attend necessary meetings at the program office level

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor and 2/3 years’ professional experience in the relevant field of social development and Gender equality,
• Knowledge and experience on SBCC, Primary Health Care Systems, WASH, DRR, Public & Private service delivery mechanism, country gender/ women empowerment policy, multi sect oral program to address Gender Based Violence and facilitate community engagement dynamics at the grassroots,
• Understanding Food Security as an overarching concept of development
• Good understanding of Bangla and basic English Language

        Good report writing and facilitation and networking skill

Job Location:Tahirpur & Doarabazar upazilla of  Sunamgonj and  Baniachong & Ajmirigonj  upazilla of  Hobigonj districts

Salary :Tk. 17,250.( Monthly)
