Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a National NGO with Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC and UNESCO. It works for social and spiritual development of the community. DAM’s current diversified works encompass multi-dimensional field programs and self-governing institutions in education, health and economic development sectors in Bangladesh.

DAM is implementing an emergency humanitarian response education project titled Scale-up of Early Learning and Informal Basic Education Programme for Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nations (FDMN) 4-14 years’ children in Bangladesh (ENBC) with the financial support by UNICEFat 6 Upazilas of Cox’s Bazar district.

Education Specialist – (1) ENBC Project
Duty Station: Cox’s Bazar with including frequent field visit.
Age Limit not more than 40 years.

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • A Master’s degree in relevant field (Education); Qualified e.g. B.Ed. M.Ed. or IER background student will get the preference. 
  • Specialized experience on Education in national or International organization/s;
  • Minimum of 6 years of work experience within the field of education as Education Specialist; Program Manager, Master Trainer of formal or Non-Formal education program;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; familiarity with MSWord, Excel, Power Point; Excellent organizational skills with a willingness to assume responsibilities and take initiative; ability to be a team player;

 

Key Competencies to acquire and practice:

  • Outstanding analytical and writing skills and proven ability to quickly understand complex challenges and propose solutions in organized, articulate concept papers, reports, and proposals;
  • Understanding of development programs with special focus on education program specially Education in Emergency Program;
  • Sensitive to local and national development and clear understanding of the education sector development in Bangladesh
  • Skills of developing quality of the Primary and JSC pedagogy
  • Regularly shares knowledge on new international best practice trends
  • Proactively applies relevant international best practices to own work.
